Lethal Injection 0 Posted March 13, 2007 Salaam “Seek a response to du’aa’s when the iqaamah for prayer is given and when rain is falling.†Does this mean your du'aa's will be responded to when the iqaamah for prayer is given and when rain is falling? And does it mean they are both conditions, or can they be seperate? And what's iqaamah for prayer? err I ask too much Jazakum Allah Khayran Salaam
~mehnaz~ 4 Posted March 17, 2007 “Seek a response to du’aa’s when the iqaamah for prayer is given and when rain is falling.” Does this mean your du'aa's will be responded to when the iqaamah for prayer is given and when rain is falling? Yes it does, bro. Heres the hadith to back that up: Narrated Sahel Ibn Sa'ad (radiAllahu anhu): that the Messenger of Allah (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said: 'Two will not be rejected, Supplication when the Adhan (call of prayer) is being called, and at the time of the rain'. [Al-Hakim 2: 114, and Abu Dawud #2540, ibn Majah] 'Seek the response to your du'as when the armies meet, and the prayer is called, and when rain falls' [reported by Imam al-Shafi' in al-Umm, al-Sahihah #1469] The duaa between Azaan and Iqamah is not rejected. [Abu Daood & Tirmizi] And does it mean they are both conditions, or can they be seperate? Both are separate. The hadiths above show they are crucial times for the acceptance of dua, in their own right And what's iqaamah for prayer? : From what i know its another call to prayer, said just before the actual start of salah. Its similar to the Adhan, except that after "Hayya alal Falah” the following is said: "Qad qamatis Salah'' (The prayer has begun) "Qad qamatis Salah'' (The prayer has begun) Iqamah is said in a lower voice and a bit faster than the Adhan. It basically lets members of the congregation, know that the salah is about to commence. this should help too: (you are not allowed to post links yet)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetislamonline(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/servlet/Satellite?cid=1119503548986&pagename=IslamOnline-English-Ask_Scholar/FatwaE/FatwaEAskTheScholar"]you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetislamonline(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/servlet/Satelli...aEAskTheScholar[/url]
