 :j: :D :D Assalam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barkatuhu

Bro Vishah there is nothing to be ashamed about, every 1 has some talents like Bro Wise guy is an awesome refuter MashaAllah

then there are some born poets while others who learn poetry, I am a learner. :sl:

I think its like ive learnt most things in my life coz my family always took me to be a looser until i took over the stage and became the unbeatable host in my city (i gave up hosting soon after school coz of sharii pardah Alhamdulillah), I started poetry at age 11 and i tried it so much that i used to talk poetry :sl:

and at last i was chosen Ambassador of the Month by international Poetry organisation, that is when my family got the jolt and i was no more the looser :D took a lot of efforts..

okay lets start its not very difficult try making small verses of 4 lines or 2 lines as u find it easy let me make sumthing for u here :

Words arranged in a beautiful way;

A pure image in mind; it does portray;

Feelings and emotions translated to words;

Makes one in imagination to sway.

well i will await your verse

All the best

Assalamu Alaikum, 15 minutes to write that, Oh Vishah you could have done so much better, I mean really 15 minutes, hmmm...... I had more confidence in you, Oh well, I could'nt have written such a nice poem in 15 hours, hehehehe.

Keep it up Ya Bunayye, and you can reach up there where Aaqib will feel challenged and then you two can keep writin ad I'll sit and enjoy.

Joking aside, really MashaAllah, that's a good piece, Alhamdulillah. Maybe you can write a poem about you Sister bint Ali, saying how sweet she is and all, and then you see how she will do things for you, hehehe.

Assalamu Alaikum.

I don't write poetry, nor do I read it, but one day as I was in my room I felt something inside me,I don't know what, and for some reason I picked up a pen and began writing in my notebook, and guess what? I had actually written a poem!yeap a poem about Allah. Now I don't know if anyone else would consider it a poem,on the basis of the uneven length of the sentences, but for me it is:-). It's like this:

My eyes search You,

My mind imagines You,

You are around us

not to be seen but felt.

Helping us secretly in our trials,

aiding us in covering the miles,

teaching us the true essence of life,

He guides us through the strife.

Limitless are Your miracles and bounties,

making us stand in awe of Thee.

You taught us to root out the evils from our heart

to help mankind sincerely and play our part.

Lifting our spirits when we're down

making us smile when intended to frown.

Never letting us think we're alone

tending to us like a new born,

giving us the chance to succeed,

You've made us more than what we could possibly be...

I hope you guys like :sl:

Assalamu Alaikum, Welcome to Gawaher Qoratulain, MashaAllah that's very very nice, It is a poem off course, if you say so. Poems and Poetry don't always have to rhyme. I feel honoured that you have posted in this blog. May Allah help you and me and all understand the depth of the words, ameen.

Why don't you go and introduce yourself in the Welcoming Room, or did you???

Take care, enjoy and keep posting. Salaams and duaas.

[at] sis umahmed

lol. If she sees that piece above she will go mad i guess. heheheh once recently she made a poem to tease us (me and my lil sis....) saying that we dont know how to write peoms and stuff :sl: hihihihihi. but i need to practice more to give the big shock therapy to her :sl:

Can some body tell me about any specific rule that we have to follow when writing a poem?

Well I cant speak for others but in my opinion poetry is a spontaneous outflow of ones' feelings,i.e. it's not some thing that's preplanned.Sometimes somethings inspire us in such a way that we feel like writing about them instantly,so you don't necessarily have to make sure that you're following the rules all the time (and i mean this regarding poetry only) :sl:

Not to follow the conventional rules.

Avoid perfectionism. Write your heart and mind out as the sister said above, even if the poem turns out bad, you can at least write it again to see where improvements can be made. I think in this manner you'll develop your skills in poetry. Oh, and make sure you post us your drafts as well as the final piece :sl:

Salaams.

Asalaam Alaikum Waramatullahi Wabarakatuh,

:sl:

A Dear Muslim Brother Writing To A Prisoned Dear Beloved Muslim Brother [using large font size is not allowed]

O Prisoned Dear Beloved Muslim Brother,

my inner heart bleeds and experiences profound emotions when I hear, see and try to comprehend even a glimpse of what they are putting you through.

I am your hearing, I hear your sadness, I hear your crying, I hear your inner plea.

I am your sight, I see your tears dropping down your face, O Dear Brother I count them- one by one.

I am your inner capsule, always there with you and for you through and through.

I feel what you feel, your heart is my heart, your mind is my mind and your soul is my soul..

I breath your every breath..

I touch your every heart beat O Dear Brother..

Everything you go through I sense..

Your pain is my pain.

Your gain is my gain.

"None of you is a true believer until you wish for your brother what you wish for yourself." *

O Dear Beloved Muslim Brother I wish upon you:

exceptional comfort

exceptional Islam, IMAN & IHSAN

exceptional love and happiness

always and forever--forever and always

O Dear Beloved Muslim Brother,

Every breath you breath,

every heartbeat you beat,

each and every second of your life your being blessed by Allah,

it is a wonderful blessing from Allah..

it is a wonderful gift from Allah..

**"There was a man who was given many of the luxuries of this world, and then they were taken away from him. But he continued to praise and thank Allâh until everything had been taken from him, even his bed. And then he still praised and thanked Allâh. Another man, who had also been given many of the luxuries of this world asked him, 'What are you praising and thanking Allâh for?' The man said, 'I am praising and thanking Him for blessings which, if others asked me to give them to them in return for all that they have, I would never give them up.' 'What can they be?' asked the second man. 'Can't you see?' asked the first man. 'I have my eyesight, my tongue, my hands, my feet...'"

Subhanallah I am breathing, the world is mine..

O Dear Beloved Muslim Brother,

This whole life is a prison for the true believer, full of trials and tribulations everyday..

A tough examination of our faith in Allah as we try to please Him as He say..

“Whenever Allah wills good for a person, He subjects him to adversity”

Allah loves you alhumdulilah..

Allah tests those He loves subhanallah..

Remember the trials and tribulations of our Prophet Muhammad(saw)..

Keep full trust in Allah dear beloved brother..

Keep patience and inshallah the sweetness will show..

On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear [Quran 2:286]

O Dear Beloved Muslim Brother who's words are more truthful then the Lord Of the Worlds?

My Dear Beloved Brother,

you have the potential to handle anything you face,

you will and can across any hurdle in life by Allah's grace..

I know you will..

Your hardship is:

A sign of Allah's love

A sign of strong faith

A sign of righteousness

A sign of elevation in Jannah Inshallah Tala..

subhanallah..

"Verily, with hardship, there is relief” (Quran 94:6)

Hang in there Beloved Brother..

I am always here for you, by your side-day to night and night to day

My Dear Beloved Brother,

I have full faith and belief in you deep down,

I have full hope that this experience will extract lessons to take heed from...

My Dear Beloved Brother,

By distance we are far far away.

But..

By heart, soul, friendship, love and remarkable Brotherhood we couldn't be any closer..

Subhanallah..

I really love you immensely for the sake of Allah Dear Brother..

Our hearts are locked together always and forever..

Every Salaah I Pray be it:

Sunnah,

Fard,

Nafal,

I'll always remember you in my heart and mind constantly..

This is a humble piece of writing from a normal Brother to Very Special Brother whom I value as Gold..

Jazakallah Khayr For Reading..

In my humble Duas, always!

Brother Aaqib :sl:

Asalaam Alaikum Waramatullahi

Me 'n' My Nafs[using large font size is not allowed]

O my inners Nafs I plead to you please be patient for a day

You try to overpower me cause your greedy and want your way

I strive to calm you for eternal bless my heart desires

Yet you try to push me down a deep hole in the Hell fires

O Allah I need you every breath I take

O Nafs I beg you please give me a break

On the Day Of Judgement the time scale is 50,000 years

I crave to die a pious mumin and remove my worst fears

Life is a trial, tribulation and constant test

Inshallah I'll have IHSAN in every deed and do my upmost best

In Dunya I am crying tears of blood inside yet on the outside I smile

In the Hereafter we will sweat with sun at a mile

Only those who loved for the sake of Allah won't flee

Jannah and Hell are forever subhanallah, for eternity

Constant submission upon the Creator in this land

Be successful inshallah receive your Book Of Deeds in your right hand

Islam is a narrow striaght path, evalute yourself and keep on track

Never backbite cause it's a major sin, speaking behind one's back

The sirat is as sharp as a sword and as thin as a line of hair

Don't follow your inner nafs and desires by trying to catch thin air

If you knew the reward for praying ISHA and FAJR you'd crawl

Miss your 5 daily prayers, your whole IMAN will fall

Show good character, make your character dough and your good deeds salt

Never judge others please look at your own fault

What weighs the most is your manners

Ink has dried, pen has been lifted from your life script O Allah the best of planners

Never delay and do today is what I confess

Save depression, save time aswell as stress

Follow your Nafs and regret for years cause Satan's winning

Who else to blame but yourself, why?

Cause your sinning..

~Aaqib

Assalamu alaikum, Back to the Topic of the blog before Subhaanallah comes and closes blog.......... I know he won't, but still just in case:

Here is a Poem about shyness by a poet that is unknown, It seemed beautiful to me, hope you enjoy it.......................

Energy within, cosy like a blanket,

Feeling comfortable inside, don't need the racket.

People say I'm Introvert, quiet, lonely, shy;

Truth be told, labels don't matter, they don't know the why.

It's nice in here, thoughts are here, the life that lives within;

I see what others can only glimpse, I see the dreams so near.

I still love people, yes I do;

It's just that, I'm not exactly like you.

Don't need constant talk, parties, celebrate;

Just give me gentle thoughts, new to contemplate.

Others look outside, they need the world to feed,

But inside myself, I see the world: Gods greatest deed.

Assalamu alaikum, I was feeling a bit lonely today even with so many people sorrounding me. I checked in my papers and found this poem and wanted to share it with all of you.

Salaams.

Death of a Child

by Sandy Eakle

Sorry I didn't get to stay.

To laugh and run and play.

To be there by your side.

I'm sorry that I had to die.

God sent me down to be with you,

to make your loving heart anew.

To help you look up and see

Both God and little me.

Mommy, I wish I could stay.

Just like I heard you pray.

But, all the angels did cry

when they told little me goodbye.

God didn't take me cause He's mad.

He didn't send me to make you sad.

But to give us both a chance to be

a love so precious .. don't you see?

Up here no trouble do I see

and the pretty angels sing to me.

The streets of gold is where I play

you'll come here too, mommy, someday.

Until the day you join me here,

I'll love you mommy, dear.

Each breeze you feel and see,

brings love and a kiss from me.
