Thanks sister.

The nasheed is of very low quality, not fit for the graceful names of Allah :sl:

Brother Pe[at]ce

The words in the nasheed you gave the link of, are not the names of Allah SW. Some are, but many are not. The names of Allah are those that Allah SW Himself told us about in the Quran. For example: gameel, hannaan, mannaan, atuf, ma'ruf, da'yaan are not names of Allah SW. Plus, when we say one of Allah's names, politeness dictates that we precede it with 'Al' (The), except 'Allah' that needs no preceding.

And Allah SW knows best.

Assalamu Alaikum brother Dot

Is this a difference of opinion? because at least four of those you have listed are from the sunnah (ahadeeth) according to this site:

(you are not allowed to post links yet)"you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetmuslimaccess(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/articles/misc/99_attributes_of_allah.asp"]you can't post links until you reach 50 posts_you are not allowed to post links yetmuslimaccess(contact admin if its a beneficial link)/articles/misc/...es_of_allah.asp[/url]

Anyway for at least not saying the Al part and using music can you remove the link.

That doesn't make them names of Allah brother. The page you gave above lists 117 'awsaaf', or characteristics, of Allah SW. The 'sifat' include names, but names do not include all sifat. There is a methodology that scholars use to define the names of Allah SW. I've posted that info about a year ago in the forum. Insha'Allah you can look it up.

edit: here is the link:

Allah, the creator of the universe and master of the two worlds, has revealed 99 names of His majestic supreme in the much revered holy book of the Muslims, the Quran. Each name embodies in itself the qualities and Abilities of our Creator and we seek forgiveness of our sins and misdeeds by reciting the suitable name of Allah. We also read these names to thank Allah for thanking in utmost humility for the countless blessings He continues to shower on us every second of the day. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'To God belongs 99 names, 100 minus 1, anyone who memorizes them will enter Paradise; He (God) is odd (odd number, he is the Only One), and He loves odd numbers.
