Youths In Heaven

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I have come across the below quote many times over and all the non-Muslims have made the same conclusion “having sex with young boysâ€. I mean no disrespect. Reading the context it does suggest it is talking about El Jannah. What is the correct way to interpret this verse?

“Round about them will serve, (devoted) to them, young male servants (handsome) as Pearls well-guarded.†Sura 52:24

I'll quote what Ibn Kathir has said on it. Ibn Kathir, a scholar of the 14th century, is one of (if not the) most famous commentator on the Qur'an.

Allah said,

[æóíóØõæÃõ Úóáóíúåöãú ÛöáúãóÇäñ áøóåõãú ßóÃóäøóåõãú áõÄúáõÄñ ãøóßúäõæäñ ]

(And there will go round boy-servants of theirs to serve them as if they were preserved pearls.) This is a description of the servants and aids, the believers will have in Paradise. Their servants will be beautiful, graceful in appearance, clean and neat as well-preserved pearls,

Here is a similar verse:

Immortal boys will go around them (serving) With cups, and jugs, and a glass of flowing wine. [56:17-18]

The boys described in both verses are serving boys. Being creations of Paradise, they have good appearance and their purpose is to see to the needs of the inhabitants of Paradise. However, it does not mean that needs of sexual natures are fulfilled by them. Nor are the inhabitants of Paradise flawed enough to pursue physical relations with young boys. Even in the case of the beautiful women of Paradise (Hur-Al-Ayn), the believing men will marry them and not simply have sex with them.

They will recline on thrones Masfufah. And We shall marry them to Hur (fair females) with wide lovely eyes. [52:20]

Salam.

The correct interpretation is that there will be young and beautiful youths as if they were hidden pearls, always serving you in paradise. "Pearls well-guarded" is an allegorical description of their beauty, it means they will be very good-looking, well-preserved, shining, pleasing. Those who twist this to have a pederastic or homesexual meaning are perverting the pure nature of the message of Islam and have their minds in the gutter. It doesn't even make sense that the Quran after giving such a beautiful and comprehensive and clean message would have such a dirty verse in it. Don't listen to people whose only purpose in life is to twist the clean message of Islam and make sick perversions out of it.
