Stress, Stress And More Stress

Salaams people , i havent been on in a while and studying is taking up too much of my time.

Ive got alot of pressure on me to pass my 2nd year at uni, i dont want to mess up and resit anything. In fact i just want to get my degree and get out of that place.

Can anyone give me any tips to de stress myself also any duas i should read before my exams and any duas to help me relax.

Your help will be much appreciated :sl:

I can't offer you much help for prayers, but I'm in school too, and my own way of dealing with the stresses of school is the following:

 

First, and most important, just keep up. If you can't do that without killing yourself, you've taken on too many classes and you should cut back. But just knowing that I am on top of the work and that things aren't getting away from you has cut down on my stress hugely.

 

Second is to make sure to spend some time with family and friends. I found that even just studying with them nearby was helpful. You can't do any sort of intense study, but things like memorization (I'm studying ancient Greek) are fairly easy to do in the presence of others.

 

And finally, make sure to have some time off from studying, even if it is only for a couple of hours on the weekend, and treat yourself to something you normally enjoy doing. Having this time cushion will also allow you flexibility of additional time when you need it for study (like mid-terms or finals)

I think i push myself too much at time and thats when a panic and i forget things and dont meet deadlines, also i leave alot of things till last minutite aswell... hmm im going to have to balance everything out.

When I first started my degree, I did the same thing, had a couple of bad semesters, and finally had reality pound into my thick head that I was trying to do too much. The last few semesters I've scaled back and found myself doing much better, both academically and personally.

First of all you must breathe in and out. Thats one way to calm yourself.

Exercise, such as jogging. Or you can walk, clean the house, etc.

Tidy your room and clear the desk so that you can study easily.

Sit or lay down for a while, 10mins maybe.

 

Surah:-

Ayat al-Kursi - verse 255 of the second chapter (Surah) of the Holy Quran, Surat al-Baqarah (The Chapter of the Cow).

Surah Al-Inshirah.

 

Do dzkir at free time to calm yourself.

 

Last of all trust and confidence in Allah's guidance. :sl:
