I Need Advice On A Couple Things...

Recommended Posts

I want to start dressing more and more modest, and work on getting into hijab and such. As a lot of you know, I'm a university student, revert, and I don't have much money at all. What is a good way for me to be able to access hijabs and modest clothes at a low-to-no cost?

For the girls, can you send me some ideas for outfits and such? Islamic modesty is so much different than Christian modesty, I have no idea how to put outfits together!

You should start with wearing full length loose cloths, like full length lose pants and full sleeves loose top. You could also wear a jacket above it to cover yourself will be somewhat like hijab, and also you should put head scarves. I think these will be easy as you will be having most of the things in your wardrobe. And as you gather some money enough for buying a proper hijab then you should buy it.

I would never intentionally dress ugly! (Though I'm certain it happens sometimes... my sense of style seems to never fit with the norm!)

good

not fitting in with the norms is a compliment

its mainly the contours of the female physique

and a scarf that actually informs every onlooker

that the lady wearing it is not interested in flirting

(that is the way i view hijab)

the arab idea of dressing in black bags is not Islamic

it is an innovation

and most arab women practicing that kind of hijab

are doing so for thier individual social reasons

Allah/introspection haas very little to do with the arab hijab

take care

did you read the holy prophet's life story yet?

Salaam
