Golden ratio in Nature and Quran

Definition

ka04s3.jpg

Nature

Adolf
Zeising, whose main interests were mathematics and philosophy, found the
golden ratio expressed in the arrangement of branches along the stems of plants
and of veins in leaves. He extended his research to the skeletons of animals and
the branchings of their veins and nerves
, to the proportions of chemical
compounds and the geometry of crystals, even to the use of proportion in
artistic endeavors. In these phenomena he saw the golden ratio operating as a
universal law
.[49] In connection with his scheme for golden-ratio-based
human body proportions, Zeising wrote in 1854 of a universal law "in which is
contained the ground-principle of all formative striving for beauty and
completeness in the realms of both nature and art
, and which permeates, as a
paramount spiritual ideal, all structures, forms and proportions, whether cosmic
or individual, organic or inorganic, acoustic or optical; which finds its
fullest realization, however, in the human form."[50]

In 2003, Volkmar
Weiss and Harald Weiss analyzed psychometric data and theoretical considerations
and concluded that the golden ratio underlies the clock cycle of brain
waves.[51] In 2008 this was empirically confirmed by a group of
neurobiologists.[52]

In 2010, the journal Science reported that the
golden ratio is present at the atomic scale in the magnetic resonance of spins
in cobalt niobate crystals.[53]

Several researchers have proposed
connections between the golden ratio and human genome DNA.[54][55][56]Golden ratio in humans

Another numerical miracle

Moon is mentioned 28 times in the Noble Quran, exactly as the number of times and phases it appears to earth!

Also, click here to see the Noble Verses ( قمر mentioned 27 times in 26 Noble Verses) and here (1 time in reference to the crescents).

Another US-Government Sponsored article:

"Another factor in the variation of tides is based on the orbit of the moon around the earth and the earth around the sun. Both orbits are not circles but ellipses. The distance between the earth and moon can vary by up to 13,000 miles (31,000 km). Since the tidal force increase with decreasing distance then tides will be higher than normal when the moon is at its closest point (called perogee) to the earth, approximately every 28 days.

Likewise, the earth's elliptical orbit also causes variations in the sun's pull on the tides as we move from the closest point to the farthest point (called apogee) over the course of a year. And just to complicate things even more, the moon's orbit is inclined 5° to the earth's rotation. So the north/south orientations of the bulge also varies between the northern and southern hemisphere over this same 28-day orbital period.

As the moon completes one orbit around the earth (about every 28 days), there are two times in each orbit when the earth, moon and and sun are inline with each other and two times when the earth, moon and sun are at right angles."

Article #5:

"Q: How long is a day on the Moon?

A: roughly 28 days, which corresponds to the length of time from one full moon to the next and is equal to the Moon's orbital period around the earth. Since the Moon rotates in such a way that the same hemisphere always faces the Earth, the Sun will rise over, say, Grimaldi (on the far western limb) when the Moon just reaches Full (when seen from Earth). The Sun will appear to set over Grimaldi as the Moon wanes to New, and then will rise again at the next Full Moon

Amazing             The Remarkable Structure of the Qur’an.

2

structure.png?w=255&h=282

The Qur’an is a very unique book in terms of its composition. Its 114 chapters (or ‘Surahs’ in Arabic) are not arranged chronologically or thematically. Even within the individual chapters, numerous topics can be covered with sudden switches from one topic to another and then back again.

This unique structure at face value may appear to be disjointed. However, modern research has discovered a sophisticated structural coherence in the Qur’an known as ring composition.

THEORY OF RING COMPOSITION

Ring composition has been explained by Mary Douglas in her book “Thinking in Circles: An Essay on Ring Composition”. In ring compositions there must be a correspondence between the beginning and the end. It is structured as a sort of circle, or mirror image. The central meaning of the text is placed at its centre. The second half mirrors the first half, in reverse order — e.g., A, B, C, D, C’, B’, A’.

The correspondence usually involves the repetition of a striking or evident word or phrase, and there must be a clear thematic connection between the two sections. The correspondence serves to complete the circle and provide closure. Also, the internal sections – within the ring – must correspond to each other.

To put it in simple terms; ring composition is the equivalent of putting a mirror in the middle – what is mentioned in the first half will be reflected in the second half.

THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE QUR’AN’S REVELATION

Before getting into the ring composition of the Qur’an, it’s worth discussing the background and circumstances of the Qur’an’s revelation:

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, could not read or write. The Qur’an itself confirms this:

“Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find written in what they have of the Torah and the Gospel…” [Chapter 7, verse 157]

Throughout his life, prior to Prophethood, Muhammad did not have a reputation for poetry. In fact we know from history that at a personal level he disliked it and wasn’t a skilled poet. There are instances where he attempted to relate some poetry and would jumble the words up [1]:

Qatadah narrated, Aisha was asked: Did the Prophet, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, use to relate anything from poetry?” She said: It was most detestable thing to him except that (at times) he used to relate a verse from the person of Banu Qays and he jumbled it up. Abu Bakr told him it was not like that. So the Prophet of Allah said, “By Allah I am not a poet and neither is it appropriate for me.”

The Qur’an was originally delivered to its first audience in the form of speech through recitation. Remarkably the Qur’an did not have the opportunity for an editorial process, as many verses were revealed on the spot as a response to unexpected questions and challenges that were brought forward to Prophet Muhammad from both believers and non-believers.

The 6,236 verses that make up the Qur’an were revealed gradually over a period of 23 years. It did not go through multiple revisions as it was revealed:

And those who disbelieve say, “Why was the Qur’an not revealed to him all at once?” Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart. And We have spaced it distinctly. [Chapter 25, verse 32]

In light of these circumstances, one would expect the structure of the Qur’an to be incoherent. What we find however, is that it exhibits the sophisticated structure of ring composition.

THE RING COMPOSITION OF THE QUR’AN

Surah al-Baqarah, which we are going to use as a case study in this article, happens to be the longest chapter of the Qur’an and was revealed over a span of many years. Surah Al-Baqarah consists of 286 verses and can be divided into nine main sections based on theme/topic (verse numbers in parenthesis):

1. Faith vs. unbelief (1 – 20).
2. Allah’s creation and knowledge (21 – 39).
3. Deliverance of Law to Children of israel (40 – 103).
4. Abraham was tested (104 – 141).
5. Ka’ba is the new qibla (142 – 152).
6. Muslims will be tested (153 – 177).
7. Deliverance of Law to Muslims (178 – 253).
8. Allah’s creation and knowledge (254 – 284).
9. Faith vs. unbelief (285 – 286).

Re-arranging this list to fit into a ring composition:

A Faith vs. unbelief (1 – 20).
——–B Allah’s creation and knowledge (21 – 39).
—————-C Deliverance of Law to Children of israel (104 – 141).
————————D Abraham was tested (142 – 152).
——————————–E Ka’ba is the new qibla (153 – 177).
————————D’ Muslims will be tested (178 – 253).
—————-C’ Deliverance of Law to Muslims (254 – 284).
——–B’ Allah’s creation and knowledge.
A’ Faith vs. unbelief (285 – 286).

The coherence in the form of a ring composition is best illustrated in the diagram below (please click on picture to enlarge) [2]:

baqarah-ring-diagram.png?w=440&h=342

If we examine the 9 sections we find that they contain sub-ring compositions. So what we have is rings within rings (please click on pictures to enlarge) [3]:

baqarah-ring-a.png?w=440&h=223

baqarah-ring-b.png?w=440&h=178

Here is a table showing parallels between the corresponding sections (the correspondences here are indicated horizontally):

baqarah-ring-summary.png?w=440&h=301

Finally, it’s worth paying special attention to a particular verse of Surah al-Baqarah, the 255th verse known as ‘Ayat al-Kursi’. This verse is considered the most excellent verse of the Qur’an, according to Prophet Muhammad. Its memorisation is highly encouraged, and it just so happens that it too exhibits a ring composition:

ayat-kursi.jpg?w=440&h=506

Raymond K Farrin, author of “Surat al-Baqarah – A Structural Analysis”, concludes on Surah al-Baqarah’s ring composition:

“Indeed this sura exhibits marvellous justness of design. It is precisely and tightly arranged, as we have seen, according to the principles of ring composition; even the section lengths fit perfectly in the overall scheme. Moreover, the precise structure serves as a guide, pointing to key themes in the sura. These occur, according to the logic of the pattern, at the centers of individual rings and, particularly, at the center of the whole sura. At the center of the sura, again, one finds instructions to face Mecca — this being a test of faith; identification of the Muslims as a new, middle community; and the message that all people, regardless of their qibla or spiritual orientation, should race to do good and God will bring them together.”

BENEFITS OF RING COMPOSITION

Ring composition has great exegetical application. For a ring structure not only holds the text together, but also gives focus to the important words and themes. By means of concentric patterning, ring composition calls attention to the centre – we are drawn to look here for the essential message. As Mary Douglas notes concisely, “The meaning is in the middle.” [4]

It also serves as an aid in memorisation, especially useful given the length of Surah al-Baqarah. In his study of ancient poetry, Cedric Whitman found that ring composition simultaneously performed both aesthetic and mnemonic functions. It aids memorisation by permitting the oral poet to easily recall the basic formulae of the composition during performances [5].

CONCLUSION

Given the difficult and protracted circumstances of the Qur’an’s revelation, one would expect it to be in disorder. However as this article has demonstrated, any such understanding reveals a lack of insight into the Qur’an’s sophisticated structure. Upon deep analysis of the Qur’an’s composition we see that it exhibits a remarkable structure. It is simply impossible for Prophet Muhammad, given that he could neither read nor write and had no reputation as a poet or literary expert, to have engineered such a structure himself. This represents compelling evidence that his inspiration for the Qur’an was God Almighty, as the Qur’an itself states:

“Your Companion is neither astray nor being misled. Nor does he say (aught) of (his own) desire. It is no less than inspiration sent down to him. He was taught by one mighty in Power.” [Chapter 53, verses 2-5]

EXTRA, another great example of superiority of quran

Some of his findings are striking. Three examples, I believe, leaves no doubt that the Quran is a mathematically designed unique book.

The word "month" (shahr) occurs 12 times.

The word "days" (ayyam, yawmayn) occurs 30 times.

The word "day" (yawm) occurs 365 times.

Word "DAY" (arabic YWM) in singular mentioned in quran 365 times, wich corresponds to 365 times of the year.

Word "Month" occurs 12 times, it corresponds to 12 months in a year.

143 Thus We have made you a middle nation that you may be witnesses to the people...

143+143=286

s47u35.jpg

one more thing i found,

3 crucial words are mentioned among totally 15 words in the verse, wich could represent 3rd month and 15 day.

Taking over the Prime Minister’s office on March 15, 2003, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan implemented a number of reforms...

https://www.tccb.gov...ogan/biography/

On March 15, 2003, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan assumed the Prime Minister’s office.

http://b20turkey.org...tayyip-erdogan/

That verse contains 15 words

Alam tara kayfa daraba Allahu mathalan kalimatan tayyibatan kashajaratin tayyibatin asluha thabitun wafarAAuha fee alssamai

so we have actually 4 points wich suggest that this is a programmed future event

وَلَبِثُوا فِي كَهْفِهِمْ ثَلَاثَ

Verse 25, at the begining of the word 309th there is 309 word, to cofirm this, copy this arabic text from orginal quran and paste it in Microsoft word, and you will get 309 words

Is this not evidence of programed book , connection between text and the and words.

http://www.ehow.co.uk/info_7777671_a...on-proton.html

Neutron

Located in the nucleus of atoms, neutrons have mass slightly lower than those of protons. This indivisible particle gets its name for the fact that it has no electrical charge. It is 1,839 times the size in mass of an electron.

Proton

Elements get their atomic number based on the number of protons found in each atom. This indivisible particle in the nucleus of an atom carries a positive charge, referred to as "1" on the atomic weight scale. A proton has a mass 1,837 times greater than that of an electron.

When was neutron discovered?

It is remarkable that the neutron was not discovered until 1932 when James Chadwick used scattering data to calculate the mass of this neutral particle.

http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu...eutrondis.html

Who discovered the neutron and when?

Answer:

The British experimental physicist James Chadwick discovered the neutron in 1932. Of the three fundamental particles that make up atoms, the electron, the proton and the neutron, the neutron was the last to be discovered. It's lack of a charge made it more elusive than its companions. Links can be found below.

The existence of a "neutral element" within the atom was suggested by Ernest Rutherford in 1920 and was proposed by Santiago Antunez de Mayolo at the Third Scientific Pan-American Congress in 1924.

How can you explain, that you can find word NEUTRON in a book from 6th century wich claims it is reveleation from God who knows future and past, and not only that, verse is 18:39, wich is (1,839) mass of neutron greater than an electron?

Remember also, Word Neutron was not even invented yet....

What was Allah's intention when he put all these numerical miracles in the quran? what was to be gained by it?

Allah answers in Quran:

38:87 The Qur'an is nothing but a Reminder for all peoples.

88 And after a time shall ye surely know its message.

[41:53] We will show them our proofs in the horizons, and within themselves, until they realize that this is the truth. Is your Lord not sufficient as a witness of all things?

21:37 Man was created hasty: I will show you My signs soon, so do not ask Me to hasten them.

those miracles in quran are proofs that this book is is from the Lord of Universe, Allah, creator of everything, who knows everything.

Intresting this is that Allah says in same chapter this

Allah says this:

18:29...‘Now the truth has come from your Lord: let those who wish to believe in it do so, and let those who wish to reject it do so.

Golden ratio in Nature and Quran

Definition

In mathematics and the arts, two quantities are in the golden ratio (φ) if the ratio of the sum of the quantities to the larger quantity is equal to the ratio of the larger quantity to the smaller one. The figure on the right illustrates the geometric relationship. Expressed algebraically: a9ca768bb7a1b64dd6da6190c30bb1a6.png

where the Greek letter phi (3538eb9c84efdcbd130c4c953781cfdb.png) represents the golden ratio. Its value is: d6765c23ab021392c30db795279c1375.png. [1]

Nature

Adolf Zeising, whose main interests were mathematics and philosophy, found the golden ratio expressed in the arrangement of branches along the stems of plants and of veins in leaves. He extended his research to the skeletons of animals and the branchings of their veins and nerves, to the proportions of chemical compounds and the geometry of crystals, even to the use of proportion in artistic endeavors. In these phenomena he saw the golden ratio operating as a universal law.[49] In connection with his scheme for golden-ratio-based human body proportions, Zeising wrote in 1854 of a universal law "in which is contained the ground-principle of all formative striving for beauty and completeness in the realms of both nature and art, and which permeates, as a paramount spiritual ideal, all structures, forms and proportions, whether cosmic or individual, organic or inorganic, acoustic or optical; which finds its fullest realization, however, in the human form."[50]

In 2003, Volkmar Weiss and Harald Weiss analyzed psychometric data and theoretical considerations and concluded that the golden ratio underlies the clock cycle of brain waves.[51] In 2008 this was empirically confirmed by a group of neurobiologists.[52]

In 2010, the journal Science reported that the golden ratio is present at the atomic scale in the magnetic resonance of spins in cobalt niobate crystals.[53]

Several researchers have proposed connections between the golden ratio and human genome DNA.[54][55][56]
