Blood Sacrifice Atonement Is Abrogated In Bible.

Recommended Posts

Blood Sacrifice for Atonement of Sins is something Paul 'resurrected' to support his fable in his gospel and written down by his apprentices Mark & Luke in Paul's gospel.  The jews of course do not practice 'blood sacrifice atonement' since Moses cancelled it in Leviticus (Part of the Torah) way back in the dream-time.

See the end of Leviticus!  Blood offering is Abrogated.  Void.  Cancelled.  Leviticus starts with blood sacrifice for atonement of sin and finally 'blood sacrifice' is abrogated by a day of collective fasting.  Here is the verse that Paul uses for his fable:

Lev 17 For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.

But Lev 17 is abrogated in the final verses of Leviticus.

Leviticus 16:29-34 (Yom Kippur: Atonement of Sins by Fasting - nil by mouth for 24 hours)

From their own TORAH a compulsory order:  'Yom Kippur also known as Day of Atonement, is the holiest day of the year for the Jewish people. Its central themes are atonement and repentance.'

Leviticus 16:34 “This is to be a LASTING ORDINANCE for you: Atonement is to be made once a year for all the sins of the israelites.”  And it was done, as the Lord commanded Moses.
*** (Yom Kipper: Atonement of Sins by Fasting - nil by mouth for 24 hours)

Pay attention brothers to God's order in their Torah: This is to be a LASTING ORDINANCE for you.

And again take note.  This exposes Paul's 'blood sacrifice of Jesus (peace be upon him)'.  Paul is daring to abrogate God's Ordinance to fast by having God himself come down from heaven & crucify himself.  Musa (peace be upon him) permanently cancelled 'blood sacrifice' long long ago!!

Even SATAN himself testifies against these christians:

Luke4:9-11 The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down from here.  For it is written:

“‘He will command his angels concerning you
    to guard you carefully;
they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’

A direct quote of Psalm 91:11-12 where God promises Jesus (peace be upon him) that he will not allow his enemies to crucify him.  This promise directly relates to Allah raising Jesus (peace be upon him) alive up to Heaven.

This is a plain warning to the christians -

And whoever desires other than Islam as religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be numbered among the losers. Qur'an 8:35

Huh? I don’t see anything in Leviticus 16:29-34 abrogating bloody sacrifices. “This is to be a lasting ordinance for you” simply means what it says, the ordinance (i.e. the prescribed law of atonement) is to be everlasting. Furthermore The law of a bloody sacrifice is carried forward to the book of Deuteronomy 16:1-2 “Observe the month of Abib by keeping the Passover of the LORD, your God, since it was in the month of Abib that he brought you by night out of Egypt. You shall offer the Passover sacrifice from your flock or your herd to the LORD, your God, in the place which he chooses as the dwelling place of his name.” The book of Deuteronomy was written after the book of Leviticus so this is clear evidence that it wasn’t abrogated.

You also said “The jews of course do not practice 'blood sacrifice atonement' since Moses cancelled it in Leviticus” which is completely false. Here is a reference from Josephus a first 1st century historian.

Yom Kippur - The Day of Atonement

Antiquities 3.10.3 240-243

On the tenth day of the same lunar month [Hyperberetaeus, Tishri] they fast till the evening; and on this day they sacrifice a bull, and two rams, and seven lambs, and a kid of the goats, for sins.

And in addition they bring two kids of the goats, one of which is sent alive out of the limits of the camp into the wilderness to be a propitiation and an intercession for the sins of the whole people; the other they lead to a place of great cleanliness just outside the camp, and there burn it, with its skin, without any sort of cleansing.

With this goat is burnt a bull, not brought by the people, but by the High Priest, at his own expense; which, when it is slain, he brings some of its blood into the sanctuary, together with the blood of the kid, and with his finger sprinkles it toward the ceiling with his finger seven times, as also on the floor, and again as often onto the sanctuary and about the golden altar. The remainder he brings into the open court, and sprinkles it about the great altar. In addition, they set the extremities, and the kidneys, and the fat, with the lobe of the liver upon the altar. The High Priest also presents a ram to God as a burnt offering.

Why on earth did the Jews build the temple? Primarily for sacrifices. That’s the purpose of having several altars in the temple. Why do you think the Jews wept bitterly after the second temple was destroyed in 70 A.D.? Because they could no longer carry out animal sacrifices. You need to do more research my friend. Even the Jews would laugh at your post above…

The everlasting ordinance has not ceased with the destruction of the 2nd temple. It was fulfilled and perfected in Christ who offered up atonement for humanity once and for all. He is the perpetual sacrifice.

This is a plain warning to the Muslims – believe and follow the Lord Jesus Christ. Outside of him there is no salvation. Not even Muhammad could save you.

Sandshoes , you are in error , the blood sacrifices ended with the destruction of the Temple , there can be no blood sacrifice with out the Alter of the Temple on the Temple Mount ,which is now occupied by Al Aqsa  Masjid .

For Christians and Jewish believers in Jesus , there is no longer a need for blood sacrifice since Jesus Himself was the sacrifice for the Atonement of sins . But only to those who accepted or will accept him . The Jews although they rejected Jesus as their Redeemer and Messiah , when they recognize Him as their King at His return , they WILL be REDEEMED .

What book are you reading ????

Peace be with you abu Ahmad,

Here is a Jewish source on the topic (from http://www.jewfaq.org/qorbanot.htm) :

===QUOTE===

When did Jews stop offering sacrifices, and why? For the most part, the practice of sacrifice stopped in the year 70 C.E., when the Roman army destroyed the Temple in Jerusalem, the place where sacrifices were offered. The practice was briefly resumed during the Jewish War of 132-135 C.E., but was ended permanently after that war was lost. There were also a few communities that continued sacrifices for a while after that time.
We stopped offering sacrifices because we do not have a proper place to offer them. The Torah specifically commands us not to offer sacrifices wherever we feel like it; we are only permitted to offer sacrifices in the place that G-d has chosen for that purpose. Deut. 12:13-14. It would be a sin to offer sacrifices in any other place, akin to stealing candles and wine to observe Shabbat
The last place appointed by G-d for this purpose was the Temple in Jerusalem, but the Temple has been destroyed and a Masjid has been erected in the place where it stood. Until G-d provides us with another place, we cannot offer sacrifices. There was at one time an opinion that in the absence of an assigned place, we could offer sacrifices anywhere. Based on that opinion, certain communities made their own sacrificial places. However, the majority ultimately ruled against this practice, and all sacrifice ceased.

Indeed Wayfarer , the Blood Sacrifice was NOT abrogated , it simply is not possible at the present time , and for the reason you gave .

For Christians they are no longer required  , NOT abrogated , but for a different reason .

The ending or non performance of Blood Sacrifice in either case are not considered as being  abrogated .

While what you say is true about it not being abrogated. I do disagree with it being stopped however. There is a reason the Catholic Church offers the holy sacrifice of the mass during Divine Liturgy. It's been offered since Jesus Christ instituted it at his paschal meal.

Peace be with you.
