Getting Our Acts Together.

Recommended Posts

As-Salaam alaikum,

In the Holy Qur'an, Allah Ta'ala says:--

"What!  did you think that We created you only for sport, and that you would not be returned to Us?"  [al-Mumineen, verse 115].

"What, does man reckon he shall be left to roam at will?"  [al-Qiyama, verse 36].

These 2 Noble verses (Ayats) remind us all to get our acts together and call ourselves to account before the Divine Judgement catches up with us. In this regard, the Prophet Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, said:--

"A mindful person is he who takes his lower self [ego] under control, calls it to account, and performs

good deeds for the world to come. A foolish person is the one who expects something good from the

Almighty in vain, while following the desires of his lower self."  [Tirmidhi, Qiyamah 25; Ibn Majah, Zuhd, 31].
