Abu Hafsat 8 Posted September 29, 2018 As-Salaam alaikum, Ayat 205 of Surat A'araf of the Holy Qur'an (7:205) reads:-- "And remember your Lord by your tongue and within yourself, humbly and in awe/reverence without loudness in words, in the mornings and evenings; and be not among the neglectful." And the Noble Messenger of Allah, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, said:-- "He who remembers his Lord and he who does not remember his Lord are like the living and the dead." [Bukhari ]. The body is a system that needs nourishment in every respect, the comparison between the living and the dead in above Hadith is made because the soul receives tremendous nourishment during Zikr, while the heedless person goes deeper into loss without replenishing himself.... that is why we pray 5 times daily.... this is the minimum the body requires to maintain our standard of morality.
