shez2000 2 Posted December 21, 2020 (edited) TLDR: twitter discussion, can a man advise a woman to wear more modest clothes if she is wearing a hijab. Long story: so i cant remmeber what the original tweet was about - but i posted 'i have seen women who wear hijab but wear tight clothes, and advised them to NOT do this i..e dont wear tight clothes'. a (revert) took offence to that and said who am i to tell a woman what to wear or not... I replied with hadeeth where if you see something wrong use force, if u cant use words, if not walk away, also how teaching good things gives you rewards... she also in the discussion accused me of being a pervert because i am looking at women.. (i mean come on, if i was a pervert, i wouldnt have advised women to wear modest clothing, i would be happy as they are!!) she said i should lower my gaze instead of advising women to be more modest... but Allah says to MEN to lower gaze AND WOMEN to dress modestly.. i also told her she is SLANDERING me which is a sin, as she doesnt know me personally to say i am a pervert.. (She didnt heed that warning!) then it dragged on a bit and then i said PROPHET Muhammed (pbuh) was a man, she said but you are not a prophet... then i said IMAMS are men who preach.. and then she said 'you are not imam'. and then I asked her to ask her local imam, and then next day she said she had and he agreed with her, i replied with so post screenshots, first her reply was its another lang, so i said i will use google translate, then she changed her story to 'i cant be bothered, i have better things to do' (even tho she had been replying to almost every tweet of mine! so in the end i just ended it as she wasnt listening to me.. i dont know whats wrong with people? (Unless i am wrong here) - it was a general comment from me as a FYI to women who wear tight clothes with hijab so they can rectify their behaviour and i get some reward.. :/ Edited December 21, 2020 by shez2000
