Allah Is The Friend.....

Recommended Posts

 As-Salaam alaikum,

In ayat/verse 257 of Surat Baqra of the Holy Qur'an, we have read it where Allah Ta'ala says:--

"Allah is the Friend of those who have faith". (2:257)

Their friend [Wali], their patron [mawla], their ruler [wali] and their Caretaker [mutawalli]-- all are alike in meaning. So, in effect this verse/ayat is saying 'Allah is the Lord of the faithful, their caretaker and helper, their guide and open-hearted freind.'

In a report it has come that the Messenger of Allah, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, said: "If someone were to destroy the eminent, great Ka'abah, take apart its stones and set it on fire, his disobedience would not be as much as if he were to denigrate one of Allah's Friends.''   A nomad who was present, said: ''O Messenger of Allah, who are these friends of Allah?''  He replied: "All of he faithful are Allah's beloved friends. Have you not recited the verse, ' Allah is the Friend of those who have faith"?

The equal of this verse is where He says: "That is because Allah is the patron of those who have faith, and the unbelievers have no patron.'' (4:31)
