Charou; if im getting right is a liquid like curry used mostly in south india

Murkhoo; i think should have been 'Murkul', i donno what to call in english... but in sub-continent we call it papad....

to your surprise i meant the same...

but in south india we usually have a serving called thaali

Thaali consists of

Plain Rice

Daal

Sambar

Papad

Veg curry

Curd

Charou

Dry Chutney

this is basic, if you go for deluxe version like in kamat hotel or udipi hotel, its a delicacy...

o...k - that sounds ewwww!

no onfense to my fellow gujis but you know what, our guji food stinks! i enjoy the paki food and we been living with pakis since day one and we the only ones in the entire area and surrounding areas... we eat paki food... its way better than guji food... of course, my mum makes adjustmens like using oil rather than a whole kg of butter and little less spice, but in the dish making and taste, paki food rocks...!

atleast we aint the gujis who make tiny samosas... we are the gujis who make hugh paki stylie samosas... :D

Assalamaulikum

The only wish i have while studying at a university in saudi is that i get back the same delicacies i used to have in Hyderabad

you know the meal which we eat is perhaps the best meal i have ever imagined...i mean in the campus (Hygiene wise and nutrition wise)

but, like they say man is thankless....May Allah forgive me...

I recal the tastes of the dishes and the aroma of the food and the smell of the wet soil... and belive me.... i miss my home so much...

I HAve everything i need except home....

and its been 11 years since i left home for studies....all the while my life is going among friends friends and friends.....i only go to my home during vacation....

Huh... i just miss those days...

and repent why i always told my mom and dad...." just let me get done with schooling and you will rarely see me for i will fly far away"

Allah has brought me this far... i travelled all the major cities and hill stations in india and now on the best land in the world....

But The need to return to home....is very basic...Indeed
